Having a limited window of time between dropping our daughter off for a school outing and predicted crappy weather, we opted for a quick raid of Alpental.
We skinned up from the base with only one stream skin, being able to stitch together the snow patches. With the afternoon sun, there were short patches of brush between the snow islands for the return trip. The snow was quite good, still creamy but not too mushy. Enjoyed our picnic on top and had a great run down Upper and Lower International. Upper's got a short carry across the rocks at the top and a gaping glide crack on skiers right a few hundred feet down. Saw just two others riding the snow and a couple of climbers on the Tooth. You gotta love the views from the top of Denny. All in all it was a very good use of our time.

Dave.
I'll be sure to ask Brett about it in the morning. Thanks for the TR and the conditions update. A few of us are thinking of a dusk patrol at Alpental on Tuesday after work/school. Care to join?
Best,
Jessica
